&TRADITION（アンド・トラディション）は伝統と革新の融合という理念をもって2010年にデンマークで設立されました。そのコレクションには、1930年頃から現代までの、国際的に知名度の高いデザイナーによるものが揃っています。

本品Bellevue Lampは、1929年デンマークの建築家アルネ・ヤコブセンによってデザインされたテーブルランプです。45度にカットされたシェードは、以降の彼の幾つかの照明器具のデザインの特徴になっています。1929年は、ヤコブセンが個人事務所を設立した年で、若干27歳の時です。最初期のプロダクトデザインの一つで、照明器具としては最初の作品です。台座から真鍮のアームにはレトロ感があり、モダンに以降する時代を象徴するような意匠です。テーブルを照らすのはもちろん、小さなフロアライトとして壁を照らす使い方も面白いです。

台座のスイッチはダミーで中間スイッチにより入切します。故障したわけではなく、元々そのような商品です。
