鉄器の黒い表面処理は、熱間塗装という伝統的な方法でなされています。約300℃くらいに熱した状態の製品に、油性の塗料をこすりこむようにして焼付けています。使い、拭きこむことで自然に渋い鋳鉄ならではの光沢がでてくる、長く親しめる製品です。
